About us
Started by a Packaging Technologist and a Chocolatier's Daughter
The company was founded by a food packaging technologist and someone who grew up in her family's chocolate workshop watching them fight with suppliers every Christmas. The complaints were always the same: minimum orders of ten thousand when the workshop needed eight hundred, printers who had never heard of odour migration, boxes that arrived four days after the deadline for the seasonal rush, and inserts that fitted a praline of a slightly different diameter.
So the business was built for producers who make between a few hundred and a few hundred thousand pieces a year. Minimums are low, structural design is done in-house with physical prototypes rather than renderings, and every material is chosen with the product in mind: the fat content, whether there is alcohol or fresh cream involved, how long it must keep and whether it will be posted in July. We hold the technical documentation for every material we sell, and we are asked for it more often each year.
We also keep a large range of stock designs, because not everybody needs bespoke packaging and a small workshop with a good product frequently needs a clean, well-made box available next week rather than a six-week development project. Those stock lines can be foiled, printed or simply banded with a printed sleeve, which is how most of our customers begin before they grow into their own tooling.
